交流内容简介： We investigate why firms systematically under-perceive climate risk by examining their position in common ownership networks. Moving beyond firm-level characteristics and external institutional explanations, this study conceptualizes common ownership networks as a key governance and information structure shaping firms’ risk awareness. The results show that firms with higher degree centrality and greater access to structural holes exhibit significantly weaker climate risk perception. Contrary to conventional wisdom that network advantages improve information access and decision quality, network centrality in this setting reduces climate risk awareness. Mechanism analyses reveal two channels: network advantage constrains the governance participation of small and medium shareholders, weakening external risk monitoring, and it limits heterogeneous knowledge flows, increasing information homogenization. Overall, this study offers a network-based perspective on corporate climate risk perception, extends social network research to ownership and governance contexts, and challenges the assumption that network centrality uniformly enhances firms’ risk awareness and strategic judgment.
